White Widow Growing Guide – Vegetative Stage
During the vegetative phase the white widow plants will already be started growth. The vegetative stage occurs shortly after you place your marijuana seeds in your growing area and the white widow plants begin to grow. The way you take care of your white widow plants during the vegetative stage will vary depending on where your grow area is set up at.
Maintaining pH Levels and Root Strength
Your marijuana plants will not grow successfully if the pH levels are less than ideal. While there is a wide window your white widow plants can be at if the pH level falls below the suggested minimum or goes too high then it will need to be fixed.
There are various ways to increase or decrease the pH level easily by over a point (0.1 pH level) a day healthy. The plant roots will weaken as time progresses and not be capable of absorbing nutrients as efficiently. To reduce the stress put on the roots of your plants you should begin foliar feeding. You do this by spraying a nutrient onto the marijuana leaves. This is not always necessary with bigger grows but can help if you want to baby your plants.
While in the vegetative phase you may want to prune your marijuana plants. This will help increase the amount of branches your white widow plants grow and reduce the height of the plant. Sometimes you don’t need to prune your marijuana plants but if you have a height restriction you might want to prune your white widow plants. There are also some arguments about both foliar feeding and pruning as there are both benefits and disadvantages to using this technique so use them with caution.
