There are many different kinds of rolling papers that can be found, they can be purchased at mini markets, tobacco stores, head shops and on the Internet. One of the differences between these paper thin rolling papers is some are thicker than others and some are longer than others, there are also flavored rolling papers sold.

Normally there will be 30 or more papers in a pack and each will have an end on them that has a glue that is licked once the pot has been rolled in the paper to seal it the same as a cigarette is sealed.

Rolling a joint is an art that some people have protected while others just barely roll something that is smokeable. This is done by taking one leaf of the rolling paper from the pack and creasing it in the middle, then holding it in the fingers of one hand put a small amount across the crease of the paper.

Once this is done with the thumb and forefingers of each hand begin rolling the paper with the non-glued edge first so that once the joint is rolled the edge with the glue is on the outside of the paper. This is then licked to seal the pot in the paper just like a cigarette with out a filter. The final step is to twist the ends of the joint so that the pot can not fall out and so that when a hit is taken off the joint it will not end up in the mouth of the person smoking the joint.
