This variety of marijuana comes from the mountainous part of Northern Afghanistan. This cannabis grows wildly in the valleys of Armu Darya, the river that separates Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Since it is 100% indica, it has a strong hash smell; however the flavor is fruity and sweet.
Afghan can be planted indoor or outdoor, depending on the growers preferences. Its flowering period is between 8 to 9 weeks. This type of cannabis plant can either be pruned, or not. And when tended correctly, it can yield up to 350 grams per plant. It can grow up between 35-50 centimeters tall. Afghan can be harvested by September.
Its tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) content is between 10 – 15%, but it is high in Cannabidiol (CBD) which is good enough to be used for medicinal purposes. Afghan is excellent for antimetic and antispasmodic medications.
A must for new growers or for people who like little maintenance. The Afghan marijuana strain is also available in female seeds by clicking the arrow below.
